The launch of a school’s programme delivered by The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Dublin City Council, NEIC and the five Lamps Art Festival.

 

Connections Art Centre 2023

Graduation ceremony held for participants from Enable Ireland, St. Michael’s House, Walk and Cheeverstown House, and students from Loreto High School Beaufort. The event also saw the launch of the Connections Art Centre’s new website along with the Connecting Artists Art Exhibition.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin launched the Ballyfermot Family Resource Centre that aims to promote and enhance the personal, social, educational and economic development of the individuals and families who participate in the activities of the Centre. 

Flying Kites for Kindness 2023

Kindness is a Light in the Darkness, an Inclusion Integration Week flagship event by Dublin City Council spread joy and brought light to the world by remembering the importance of kindness. Participants learnt how to make their own kite at workshops and covered the sky with their creations.

 

First autism-friendly capital city in the world initiative 2023

A new initiative that will see Dublin become the first autism-friendly capital city in the world was announced by The Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste today, at the launch of Inclusion and Integration Week. This will be achieved through participation in the AsIAm Autism-Friendly Communities Awards Programme.

 

Communication Boards 2023

The first of Dublin City Council’s new Communication Boards was unveiled this morning in Herbert Park by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste and the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth of Ireland, Roderic O’Gorman.

 

Life Long Learners 2022

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Caroline Conroy presented two learning champions with certificates in a ceremony in the Mansion House. The learning champions seek to promote and celebrate learning in all forms with Dublin Learning City. The champions hope to inspire people to avail of the many learning opportunities the city has to offer.

 

Global Village Festival 2022

This multicultural event hosted by the Intercultural Ambassadors Programme celebrated diversity through music, dance and food. The performances featured an interpretation of Dublin’s Inclusion and Integration Week’s theme: Dublin a city for all.

 

IOM Migrant Film Screening and Panel Discussion 2022

A Film Screening and Panel Discussion on the topic ‘Migration and Human Trafficking’ by the International Organisation for Migration Ireland took place on Friday 11th November in the Light House Cinema. 

 

Age Friendly Wellness 2022

On Wednesday November 9th, Age Friendly Dublin City hosted a wellness workshop on ways in which older adults can balance their lives in relation to sleep, nutrition, relaxation and movement.  

 

Ukrainian Website Launch 2022

On Wednesday the 9th of November the Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy launched the Dublin City Ukraine Response Community Noticeboard website – www.DublinCityUkraineResponse.ie at a reception in The Mansion House. The Dublin City Ukraine Response Community Noticeboard is designed to assist displaced persons from Ukraine in Dublin City to stay updated and connected to their local community by providing access to information about services, activities and events happening locally.

 

Connections Art Centre Showcase Event 2022

This event showcased Connections Art Centre’s various programmes such as the Creative TY Connections Programme where young adults with disabilities and TY students come together to develop their IT, interpersonal, social, and life skills in a supported, safe space and the Connecting Artists Programme, which has been designed for visual artists with intellectual disabilities who wish to develop their creative practice, elevate their art, and prepare themselves for exhibiting and selling their work.

 

Launch of Inclusion and Integration Week 2022 

Dublin City Council’s Integration and Inclusion week was launched by Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy in the civic offices on Monday 7th November. The Seen To Be Heard photography exhibition that features portraits of women with a secondary breast cancer diagnosis was also opened on the same day.

Dublin City’s participation in the Cycle Without Age Tri-Shaw initiative was launched on  Thursday 11 November 2021, as part of Dublin City’s Inclusion and Integration Week by Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland in the Irish National Warm Memorial Gardens, Islandbridge.

Dublin City’s Integration and Inclusion week features more than 100 events online and in person from walking tours, talks, arts & crafts, films, workshops, exhibitions, music and much, much more. 

NEIC Intercultural Ambassadors events 2021

NEIC Intercultural Ambassadors hosted three fantastic events during the Inclusion and integration week.
