Screening of the film “Non è un paese per giovani” (2017) by Giovanni Veronesi – In Italian with English subtitles

Join us for one of our evenings dedicated to contemporary Italian cinema! On Monday 11th November 2024 at 6pm we’ll screen “Non è un paese per giovani” (“No Country for Young Men”, 2017) directed by Giovanni Veronesi, in Italian with English subtitles.

The plot of “Non è un paese per giovani” revolves around Sandro and Luciano, both in search of a better future. Sandro dreams of becoming a writer, while Luciano, a talented chef, feels the need to escape the precariousness of Italian life. They decide to move to Cuba where they meet Nora, a girl with a dark past who will guide them into a fascinating and unpredictable world, leading them to confront their deepest fears and desires.

A tale of friendship, dreams and disillusions, nominated for the “Nastro D’Argento” Award for Best Soundtrack.

The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles and will be preceded by an analysis of the context and work of the director.
