The event will be a celebration of collaboration between the meetingplace club who support children teenagers and families living under the arch of disability and jontys special needs music space in Merville court finglas . We will be doing a work shop for all in the community to highlight abilities in disabilities . We use colour codes and different types of types of sounds to communicate and identify talents to introduce social skills and connect.
The term is music is universal.
Everyone from all backgrounds and abilities are welcome to explore and experience our unique type of person centered learning .
The touchscreen will allow for non verbal interaction between multiple people and will enable continuous communication between all participants in the space. It’s also important to recognize the presence of emotions and feelings. Entertainment is about empathy towards others especially your fellow musicians but also for your audience.
This means setting boundaries for yourself through self care awareness also . This workshop will enhance and encourage the participating participants to engage with their peers musically and socially. By designing and developing their music skills they will discover a different approach to their own learning process leading to a greater understanding of self . This in turn will help them to understand their own regulation making them more confident and able to express themselves in a more positive relaxed way because of their experience and their environment.
jontys special music workshop program provides all the necessary tools to create a positive lasting impact on the individual no matter what the stage of disability or age .

The meetingplace club is affiliated with the Arch federation of Ireland and we provide friendship clubs and social inclusion opportunities for all ages and forms of disabilities. We were set up in 2010 and affiliated in 2012 . Our aim is to provide opportunities and develop projects to enhance the life of the disabled community. We also offer training opportunities to help mental health and wellness and encourage nature as a means of wellness and social interaction. Our group s are run by volunteers who have experience in the disabled community and are the best social action to bring about social change. Their first hand experiences are the most valuable toolkit and our special needs club best resource. We are continuing to build on our narrative s to highlight how important the need to understand and unite together towards a common vision.
we have worked with DCC Finglas Ballymun Cabra and Glasnevin and would like to extend this partnership beyond to our partners in the city centre and beyond.
Music is the friend to keep you connected and give company at the lonely times.
we want everyone to experience jontys special music space . Jonathan is a brother of one of our adult members. He started a band for the club as a thank you . That was 3 years ago and he has guided them to an incredible level of maturity and success.
