Team Zimbabwe FC will host a football tournament on the 12th of November 2022 in Bushy Park Terenure. The Team has taken the lead in addressing and improving the youth’s emotional and mental well-being, through visits to refugee centres and engaging youth in sport to promote positive mental health and bring about connections that would break the barriers of inclusion for people living in Direct Provision System, refugees’ and other migrants.
Team Zimbabwe is a multicultural team, can proudly say we have in our team, Irish, Brazilians, Italians, Somalians, Malawian, Romanian, South Africans, Ethiopians, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Palestinians and Botswana guys.
We want to use the football tournament as a platform to help asylum seekers to create networks outside direct provision. One of the participating Teams is comprised of individuals from direct provision. We use football as a platform for inclusion and as our motto Says “NOBODY GETS LEFT OUT WITH TEAM ZIMBABWE”
